Prior to Sunkist RTS being closed down, there was interest by some packinghouses in a solution that could detect and remove foreign objects from fruit outfeed belts.
Using an older Universal Robots CB2 manipulator that we had in storage, I began prototyping a proof-of-concept system that was intended to integrate with an off-the-shelf vision solution for object detection and removal.
This was my first experience with any sort of industrial cobot.Â
