In late 2022, Falcon ExoDynamics submitted a proposal to the NASA TechLeap Nighttime Precision Landing challenge.
While I was not with the company by the time of the test flight, I was heavily involved in the initial proposal, prototyping, and testing phases.
Among my duties: laying the initial groundwork for controlling the gimbal, writing a camera interface in C++, reverse-engineering the consumer flashlights selected for prototyping, field-testing the image quality with candidate illumination, and finally an absolute career highlight for me: presenting the prototype payload's software/hardware functionalities in a live demostration to NASA engineers.
